Get full location path of a folder or file in Windows 7

If you are using Windows 7 then may be you have noticed that in Windows Explorer ‘s address bar only the current folder name displaying instead of the full address location of that current folder. While in the previous version of windows the full path with driver or folder nesting were displayed.

This is why it has become some how tricky to get the full address location of any particular file of folder in case we want to track it. If such is the situation then you can follow the simple steps to get the full location of any particular file or folder.

1. Open the particular file or folder in Windows Explorer for which you want to get address.

2. Now press and hold shift button and then right click on that particular file or folder.

3. This will open up a pop up menu there find and click on the “copy as path” menu to get the actual address with all the nesting information.

4. Now past it wherever you want to; like if you are uploading pictures to picasa or orkut then simply click on browse from your account and paste the copied link into the browse menu.
