Install Windows 7 – Windows XP only in five minutes!

Installing any operating system whether it is windows xp, vista or seven is always a havoc and this becomes more complicated if you use a lot of software for your usual works. Even a basic install of install of Windows can consume about 2 hours and for any advanced user the time span can go up to more than 4 hours. So now how about installing a windows just with in 5 or 10 minutes….I am serious dear no joking… Yes it is possible….

Now let me make it more clear suppose you have already spent your valuable time of 4 hours to setup your computer and now it is fully functional… now what about making the backup of the current installation on any other drive apart from the windows root disk. Which when the next time windows got corrupted we can use it to restore the fresh backup of windows boot image which will be just like copying and pasting data. Finally which will not took more than 10 minutes. Hope you understand what i mean!

For the purpose there is a very small tool  Snapshot that will help you in preparing image of your newly installed computer. As soon as you finish your Windows XP plus driver and software installation, use this tool to make the image of your C: drive as this is where we primarily install Windows. Now create the image using the software (the link given below after the paragraph only less then 200 kb in size) and save it anywhere other than C drive as it will be reformatted whenever you want to restore the fresh windows.

So now you have created the backup of the installed windows which will make you relax with all the problems and hassles you were facing while installing a windows.

Now comes the second part what to do after a crash or how we can restore the original image to corrupt windows. For the purpose you have to boot your pc using a boo-table disk it is different than your windows installation disk as this require to super impose the saved image to fresh or formatted disk. For the purpose you need to use the BartPE a simple boot-able disk image created using Nero (download link given after the paragraph) burn it on the cd. But while burning keep in mind that this is already a boot image so you have to open in Nero instead of adding it in the list.

Download Bart Pe (Just make a comment and I will forward it to your mail id)…. or you can also visit http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/plugins for manual instruction.

Now using the cd you have created boot up your system and follow the on-screen instruction to restore the windows installation. If you found any problem you can ask me any time. I am here 24/7.

  1. No; the image created will only work on the system from which it was created. To have it work on another pc you must ensure that it has the same configuration and mother board brand.

  2. 1st of all, thanks for that article and the softwares.
