Today, on the occasion of the Raksha Bandhan (13 august) Airtel has taken a hard step reducing its GPRS data plan. The Internet data plan which we were using up 2Gb with the recharge of 98 rs. has been reduced to 1 Gb at the same recharge. Airtel as we all know is the biggest telecom service provider in India but no one is expected that Airtel instead of providing better deal will reduce it…. though what ever the decision is.. solely up to the company. But for those who were using this plan on Laptop or PC’s surely will get affected…
But as I concern Airtel should getup to this decision not on the occasion like Raksha Bandhan….
Now, what do you think; does this move from Airtel impact their user database… as there are also so many Internet Service Provider on the same recharger plan…

It is bad cuz now it is most expensive gprs service in Rajasthan circle! But i think the region is that now is see dramatic improvement in speed by using 3g mode in same98 pack . Speed has increased to 80-100 kb average reaching peak of 180 parts of day. So i guess, it a not overall such a bad deal compared to the previous speed of 4-8 kbps in which i hardly could use up my 1 gb out of 2.
sms pck ke baad ab gprs bhi. Kuch acha nai bacha hai airtel me. I am shifting to voda or uninor they have far more better plans. I have been charged 400 in 2 month on games which i dont know how? Airtel Sucks!!

Yes… Lokesh…. Even being the no. 1 telcom provider, and the largest customer database… they are miser in call rate plans in comparison to other telcom providers… now they have shown they never thought of their customer

I WAS USING THIS GPRS PLAN 2 GB WAS ENOUGH FOR ME BUT NOW I AM NOT READY TO PAY DOUBLE FOR IT SO

Sure this is sad news. Perhaps the user who is most affected in India is me as i use about 4.5 GB a month through Airtel Gprs 98 Rs. So i have to recharge more than 2 times in a month. Maybe i’ll shift to other network. Airtel is also charging me falsely of gamesmania subscription which i never subscribed at rate of 5 rupees every 3 days. Sucks.
