Start warning messages or deffragmention even in the ideal mode… instead of screen saver

Do you think you are getting full use of your Windows PC? But what about when you have just leave your pc on for a while and it goes in the ideal state.

Now how about using the ideal mode to perform some useful task like fragmenting the system disk or running the antivirus program or any other program which you would like to run; normally which you do in free time.

Yes! you can set your pc to run specific application at the time only when it is in the ideal state using a free small and portable application called IdleRun… with this application in effect you can also set to run warning messages

So if you want to make full use of your system and have many things to do even when your computer is idle, then there is a tool right for you. There are times when are system goes into idle mode as we are not doing anything on it, so here is a tool that can help you to utilize even the wait time of the computer.

It is a small app called IdleRun developed by Donationcoder team which can either run a program selected by you to run at system idle time or show a message on the screen. You can configure the options in the tool according to your needs to run a program of your choice or display an informative or a prank message on the screen.

The app is very simple to use, small in size and requires no installation. Just double click on the app, configure the settings in the tray bar and run whatever you wanted to run when there is not much activity happening in the system.

 Download IdleRun

Step by step installation and usage setup:

1. So now I hope you have downloaded the application which is not very big but of only 425 kbs. Create a folder from where you want  to run this application it may be any drive and then Double click to run it. (You need to create a folder just because it will extract some configuration files at the start up)

2. As I have already said that there is no installation; once you double click it will show a small Windows XP style icon in the system tray… which means the program has successfully launched.

3. Now to configure the program; open the IdleRun.ini file from the location where you have saved the program (which you have created earlier)…. it will have text as shown:

[Action]
program=winver.exe
message=CPU is idle!
exit=1
[Settings]
cputhreshold=5
checkinterval=1
idleduration=60

Now with in the second line change winver.exe with the program you want to run when your system becomes ideal and the next line with the message you want to display or delete it to have no message.

4. That’s all you need to know… for any further instruction just let me know via comments section… there will be a definite help…
