If you love experimenting with Windows then here is one more tool you would love to know. If you are using windows 7 then think how about windows desktop only with a start button in the corner with the Taskbar area missing as shown in the below image:
If the above image impressed then here is the software Shellwin which was used to achieve this effect. This Tool is designed in such a way that it partially hide the Taskbar except the Start Button allowing you to keep the Start-button visible while running applications at full screen.
You can download this application from the link here and run it. You will get two option one for Hiding the task bar while another for making it visible again.
