Recently thousands of websites caused to show their homepage as Hacked By Q8 H4x0r instead of the their original website home page. In the list of these thousands domain one site belongs to me also. I was shocked as when first I saw the massage as what caused this massage to prompt up as after I checked my website through Cpanel or Ftp everything was fine but the only problem was it has changed the Index.PHP in some cases Index.htm with some of the malicious code.

First I thought that only my site has been affected but later I discovered there were the bunch of the sites / blogs and the whole server was infected by the malicious code. But the good part of it was that all other files were intact apart from the index page.

I am posting this info only to give you the information that if anyone also caught in the situation like above (though I never wish) don’t be panic as there is no need to worry, only you have to replace the index file from the backup of your website. Though this one is only a minor attack but for a precautionary option never forget to organise a backup schedule for your uploaded data as no one knows when such a problem might occur.
