Registry Tweak to move Internet Explorer’s Menu Bar above the Address Bar

Though it is one of the changed interface in Internet Explorer to move the Menu Bar below the address bar but if it annoys you and you though the older one was better then you only have to apply this small tweak via Registry and it will be fixed as earlier:

Steps to Interchange Positions of Menu Bar and Address Bar in Internet Explorer:

  1. Open registry editor.
  2. Go to this registry key: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Microsoft | Internet Explorer | Toolbar | WebBrowser”.
  3. In the right pane double click dword entry named “ITBar7Position” and change the value to “1” (default value is 0).
  4. Close the registry editor and restart your computer.
