Windows 7 Tip: Use Snipping tool instead of Print Screen… to capture screen

If you are still using print screen to capture screen content then may be you have not known of the Spinning tool implemented with in Windows. This is very tiny feature but very helpful if there is very frequent need to capture any specific area of the screen or the option window to use in Websites or books for further reference.

This tool is very helpful for those Webpages where the admins have disabled the right click save of the Images (Though here is an article already posted what to do if Right Click image save disabled). You can use Snipping Tool to capture a screen shot, or snip, of any object on your screen, and then annotate, save, or share the image.

To open the snipping tool type snipping in the search bar and from the results click on snipping tool. This will show you a small toolbar as shown below:

Now click on the new button and drag the area using your left mouse button. That’s it now save the image in whatever image format you want like PNG, JPG, GIF, HTM and export to your friends or share on your blog.

Isn’t this very nice utility?
