Increase Surfing Speed for Slow Internet Connection up to 20%

Recently I have posted an article on how you can speed up your existing installed windows without any hardware changes by simply modifying some settings in services.msc… you can read more at link here. But that was a topic on how you can make your windows lite by disabling some unused features which are very uncommon for an average user.

As you may read in the above article that services.msc is responsible for overall system performance In the same manner there is service called gpedit.msc which deals with all the tasks related to computer administration. But for now you must be wondering how this all related to Internet speed and how it can help to increase it… Ok… Ok…. i will explain it…

Do you know that by default while we install windows to a pc Microsoft Windows reserves 20% of available bandwidth for its own purpose like sending error report or windows update etc., But for shake of us it has provided with Group Policy Editor to alter the dealt settings.

So to do so Go to Start > run and then type Gpedit.msc to go through Group Policy Editor then go through the several option as described below

–> Local Computer Policy
–> Computer Configuration
–> Administrative Templates
–> Network
–> QOS Packet Scheduler
–> Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

By the time you double clicked on the last item mentioned above windows will prompt that it is not configured but this is only to fool as it silently reserves the valuable bandwidth % so first you have to enable it and then again set it to Zero by this way you will override the default settings… Just give it a try If you have a slow Internet connection
