Windows 7 Problem: Vista Upgrades hangs permanentaly at 62%!

No doubt windows 7; start from its beta release has been referred as the perfect operating system released from  Microsoft. But does that really meant so? There are several issues already encountered by most of us in our daily usages like upgrade problems, interface issues, many hardware and printer problems.

But don’t be frustrated may be these problems are causing annoyance but today you will found the solution for the most common problem of Hanging of Windows Vista upgrade to Windows 7.

According to Microsoft this problem generally caused when a service called lphlpsvc stopes working generally this situation occurs at 62%  of the installation process. When rebooted it all rollbacks the installation process.

To solve it Microsoft has released an environment variable which will force the system to ignore the problem to complete the installation process. Point to the below location for the fix.

However from the above location there are chances that problem can be fixed but even in case it fails then it will be a better idea to have a fresh install.
