Add Quick Launch Bar in Windows 7 taskbar area

Prior to Windows 7 and Vista; Quick Launch Bar was one of the most favorite feature of windows to quickly launch favorite application at a single click… but with the launch of Windows 7 it was removed; though; Microsoft had did it because of the Taskbar Pinned Application application in effect; but still if you are looking for that old style Quick Launch Taskbar that can also be achievable… learn how using the following step by step process.

1. Right click on the blank are of the Taskbar using your mouse button and choose Unlock the toolbar.

2. Again a right click but this time click on > New Toolbars.

3. Now point the new shortcut link to the following location

windows install drive>\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\ Internet Explorer\

4. From the above location choose Quick Launch bar.

5. That’s it now should be able to see a basic quick launch bar almost blank but with no shortcut.

6. Now drag and drop your favorite program from desktop or anywhere from your pc to this newly crated Task bar area.

So you have got the missing Quick Launch Bar area again… enjoy.
